President Hillery called the meeting to order at 7:03pm. Minutes from the June meeting were reviewed. One correction – Color Guard receiving M100 emails. Tom Pullen made the motion to accept with correction,  Mike Haynes seconded, and the motion carried.

The financial report was reviewed by Cindy Kirbach, Treasurer.    Laura Plummer made a motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by Tom Pullen, motion carried.

TEACHER REPORTS:

High School Band – Alyssa Overmann

  • Marching 100 participated in VP Parade – Placed 5th overall ($500 award)
    • Bought shorts for the band to wear due to hot weather.
  • Had a music camp from 10-2 week before Band Camp.  Made a huge difference on the first day of band camp this year.

Middle School

  • Nothing to Report

High School Orchestra – Laura Plummer

  • Nothing to report
Committee Reports:

Hospitality 

Communications – Mike Haynes

  • Upcoming Dine Outs going out soon.

Technology – Tom Pullen

  • Nothing to Report

Ways and Means – Jamie Pullen

  • Shivers – 8/2 from 7pm-10pm  Only walk up sales.
  • Roma’s – 8/15 from 11pm-10pm.  Do not need flyer but must mention there for ABOB.
  • Button Days – Either 8/25 or 10/20

Trivia Night – Laura Plummer

  • 27 total tables this year, $150/table
  • Looking for round sponsors
  • Laura Shansey is preparing questions.  Ruth Waggoner is overseeing basket raffles.

Dinner Auction – Ed Gray

  • Nothing to Report

Spring Vendor Fair – 

  • No Pancake Breakfast this year
  • Considering Food Trucks

  • ABOB storage room will be moving to Horace Mann by January 1, 2019.
