ABOB Craft Fair Volunteer Sign Up!

The ABOB Olde Alton Arts & Craft Fair is back for its 32nd year!  Saturday, December 4, 9am-4pm and Sunday, December 5, 10am-3pm.


Our Craft Fair is a HUGE event for ABOB that usually brings in over $26,000.00 for our district band and orchestra programs and the Marching 100.  We are needing parent help all weekend.  Alton Middle School students may work with their parents and must stay with them. Please sign up below or contact one of our Craft Fair chairs. Bring a friend or two to help out and go shopping after your shift!

Signs asking everyone to wear a mask will be posted on all entrance doors. Masks will be set out on the tables at the entrances for anyone wanting to take one. Let those without masks enter.

Assist directing traffic coming into the high school and allow access to handicap parking in front of the cafeteria.
Shifts are: Friday 6-9pm – direct crafters for unloading.
Saturday:  6-8am, 8-10am, 10am-Noon, Noon-2pm, 2-4pm
Sunday:  9-11am, 11am-1pm, 1-3pm

Shifts are 9:00-11:00am, 11:00am-1:00pm and 1:00-3:00pm both days of the Craft Fair.  
We are also seeking donations for the Basket Raffle.  If you can donate an item, donate a whole basket, donate cash, donate a gift card, make something, talk to a local business friend, please let Amy know.

Our Alton High School band and orchestra students will be signing up to work throughout Craft Fair weekend.  Students who are food runners will need to be vaccinated.  

Masks will be required per Alton School District and the State of Illinois.  Extra masks and gloves will be provided.

ABOB supports the Alton School District elementary, middle school, and high school band and orchestra program including the Marching 100 by providing the funds for:

  • New instruments and equipment – $2,000.00
  • Repairs on all of the district’s instruments – $10,000
  • Scholarships for private lessons and music camps – $5,000.00
  • Festival fees and travel expenses for the AMS Schumann Chamber & the AHS Symphonic Orchestra – $3,000.00
  • ALL of the competition fees, equipment, supplies and expenses for the Marching 100 and color guard – $34,917.00

Thanks to ABOB and our dedicated volunteers like you, ALL students in the Alton School District have access to our outstanding music program.
