Happy Monday!

Just wanted to send out the new packet for the next week or so. All information is posted on Google Classroom as well, and everything can be turned in on there. This is all stuff to keep us going – we know “online band” is not a thing – music is meant to be played together!
There are some subscriptions (usually paid) that are free through this pandemic. They’re great opportunities, so we’ve worked to get those up and running. The info. to join those and to keep working on music can be found here: Band Packet 3/31-4/7

M100 Drumline – Ms. Edwards posted the drumline audition info. on the percussion Google Classroom last Monday, 3/23. It includes dates and music to start looking at. *Please know all dates are subject to change, but we’re going to try to keep everything moving! If you’d like help on the packet, just email Ms. Edwards!

100 – as we learn more information about remote learning and if/when we’ll be back we’ll be taking steps to get student leadership/100 info out to everyone as well – we’ll let you know when we know.

Ms. Edwards and I are available from 8am-12noon each day for students throughout the break:

• We will be checking email regularly
• I’ve turned my Google phone number back on – students can call or text if they have questions or need help with anything. They can call or text it at 314-472-5538. It rings to my cell phone!
• Students can reply to Remind texts
• We are also working on video chat options – we’ve talked to several students and should be setting a time to communicate with classes soon.

I have a video announcement that I just posted on Google Classroom for the students. This isn’t how I like to announce big things, but it’s how we have to live right now. I really hope to have the opportunity to see the kids face to face soon. The message is directed to the band students, but parents can get the news from the source as well: Announcement 3.30.20
