President Hillery called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm. Minutes of the August meeting were reviewed. Seeing no additions or corrections, Tom Pullen made the motion to accept, Courtney Frosch seconded, motion carried. Treasurer, Cindy Kirbach, presented the financial report. Croxford finished audit and all went well. Tom Pullen made the motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by Mike Hayens, motion carried.

Alyssa Cudney -High School Band
Marching 100 has participated in 3 contests this year so far. They are learning more after each one and then adding a few things. Have lots of parent support this year.
Upcoming events:
• Contests at Washington, Potosi and St. Genevieve
• IMEA
• Auditions for Concert band
Middle school band and orchestra is going well and has IMEA coming up as well.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Communications: Mike Haynes
Last month all communications was for Alumni event. Event went well. ABOB.net: Tom Pullen – Moved a few things around to make site cleaner.
Uniform Fundraiser: Alumni – 40 marched with 100 Friday night at Homecoming game. Mike very helpful bringing american flag and rifle line. People were excited to see colors with Banner. About 50 attended alumni mixer at Spirits after game. Spirits sold pizza and drinks. Have volunteers to help plan event for next year. Next year those participating need to be in same shirt and make sure aware of who is participating and instrument in advance. Possibly do rehearsal Thursday before. Event was a success.
Button Days – October 17 – 8 locations – Schnucks, Shop n Save, Wal Mart, Roberts Ford, Bread Co, Joe Ks and Halpin. 2 hour shifts Varying times from 7-3.
Ways & Means: Courtney Frosch
Laura Plummer reported that Cheese and Sausage is much better this year. New company is in Chesterfield and family owned. They will be setting up everything for pick up and staying to assist.Family owned business. We will receive 50% profit from sales.
Butter Braids order forms went out today.
End of month St. Louis Cardinals Calendars. Going to set up table at concerts with calendars and ABOB information. Discussed what to have at table events.
Courtney suggested for next fall a car raffle. Talk to local car dealerships about possible car raffle. Contact someone with Alton Education Foundation to get more information. Choice of car, cash or money towards higher priced car. Will revisit next month after gathering more information.
Trivia Night – Sold out. 28 tables. Need a couple more judges. Macie Henkhaus is handling basket auction and reported lots of support from band parents and a good selection of baskets.
Craft Fair – Rose Lammers and Kathy DeWitt
Getting 4-5 applications per week. Currently have 125 applications and another 42 spots to fill.
Spring Vendor Fair: March 19 8-12. Looking for Committee members. 60-62 spots in commons. Pancakes for trip accounts.
NEW BUSINESS
Sue Mueller from Actors and Artists of the Riverbend (AAR) attended the meeting. AAR uses performing arts to benefit an area non profit every year. They are asking to partner with ABOB this year on their production of Anything Goes. ABOB would provide start up money for their summer theater production on July 22-24. All proceeds from ticket sales, ads etc would go to ABOB. Additional questions were raised after Sue left Courney Frosch will follow up and we will vote at next meeting.
Bandquet – Planning has started an kids would like to do something cheaper for food. Looking at different options for this year.
October restaurant fundraiser is Princivelli’s. Discussed other options for November.
Next Meeting Scheduled for October 26, 2015.
