ILMEA District 6 2016 Senior Orchestra Festival


$20 IMEA District Festival fee is due by October 31.  If paying by check, please make it payable to Alton H.S.

The bus will leave Alton H.S. at 7:00 a.m.   Plan on arriving no later than 6:50 a.m.  You will have access to band and orchestra rooms.  All students are required to ride the bus to Edwardsville H.S.  Your parents are to bring you home.  There will not be a bus to bring you back to Alton.

Bring your own folding music stand
Cellos and basses don’t forget rockstops!!

You are NEVER late to any rehearsal.  I expect you to represent Alton High School and our community with pride and dignity.  Absolutely no gum, food or drinks of any kind in the rehearsal or performance venues.  All school rules apply at all times.

Edwardsville H.S. and ILMEA are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.  Please leave valuable belongings at home and keep a close eye on your personal items.  No texting during the rehearsals or the concert.

You will need money for lunch, which will be provided by Edwardsville’s food service.  You can also bring lunch from home.  You may want to bring food to tie you over through the concert.


The concert will be recorded by Mr. Rayford Raby.   Order forms will be provided at concert time.

Make sure you know all of your music very well:
            Waltz, Nocturne and Galop from Masquerade Suite by Khachaturian
Jupiter from The Planets by Gustav Holst.

Normal school clothes for rehearsal.

Concert Dress:  Your formal Symphonic Orchestra concert attire.

8:00          Morning Rehearsal
Lunch Break
Afternoon Rehearsal
3:30            Junior Final Concert
5:30            Senior Final Concert; be in concert dress by 4:15.

Concert Admission:  Adults $5.00/Students $3.00.  Children under 10 are free.
