Hi! We’ve got a full week! Just a heads up, the pep band game for tonight has been rescheduled – please see below!

• The Exercise Project continues today – all forms must be in to participate. We’ll go from 3:30-4:30pm Tuesday and Friday this week.
• Tonight’s Red Pep Band Game has been RESCHEDULED to tomorrow, Wednesday, 2/20 due to the weather forecast. – 6:45pm, AHS
• Wednesday, 2/20 – Jazz Band – 3:30-5pm
  • Red Pep Band Game – 6:45pm, AHS
• Friday, 2/22 – Gray Pep Band Game – 6:45pm, AHS. This is senior night – senior pep band members do get recognized! Senior parents, if you plan to be there for the festivities, everyone will be announced immediately after the JV game, usually around 7:15pm. We’ll meet in the back hallway of the gym (near the driver’s ed rooms – by the doors the pep band comes in).
• Saturday, 2/23 – Winterguards to Edwardsville – Schedule
• If you ordered an ornament – they’re here! All ornaments that were paid for have been delivered. If you still owe, please send in the $10 and we’ll send home yours! Thanks!

Looking ahead:

• Monday, 2/25 – Percussion Ensemble – 3:15-4:30
  • Jazz Band – 3:15-5pm
  • ABOB Meeting – 7pm
• It’s IHSA Solo & Ensemble time!!! Saturday, March 2, AHS
  • We need lots of parent help – parking, concessions, pointing folks in the right direction. If you are available on 3/2, please email me and let me know what times you can help out! Thank you in advance!!!
  • We’ll need student help as well – sign up sheets will be posted this week!
  • A lot of our students still owe for their events:
    Solos are $8, Ensembles are $15 (divided among the participants). Please ask your kiddo what they’re doing for solo & ensemble and send it in! Checks can be made payable to Alton High. Thanks!

I know some of you are starting to plan your summer schedules. We are still very tentative (no school calendar out yet), so please pencil this in – it may change. Here’s what we’d like to do with Marching 100, as long as the school calendar works out:

• June-July – Tuesday evenings, 6-8:30pm
• America’s Birthday Parade – Thursday, July 4
• Music Camp – TBA – mid July – 10am-2pm
• Band Camp – July 29 – August 8 – 8am-5pm. This is the tentative one, depending on when school starts. If we need to make a change, we’ll bump it back to July 22 – August 1.
• We’re just trying to get information out early – we’ll let you know once we can solidify it!

Winterguard Update:

• Tuesdays & Thursdays – High School Rehearsal – 5:30-8:30pm – ECC
• Wednesdays & Fridays – Middle School Rehearsal – 3:45-6:30pm – ECC
• Saturday, 2/23 – Winterguards to Edwardsville – Schedule
