M100 Starting Up!

Good morning M100 members and staff! My name is Blake Korte and I am the new Head Band Director at Alton High School. With Illinois moving into Phase 4 this Friday, we have been given permission to begin M100 rehearsals next week! We will start with the scheduled Tuesday, June 30 rehearsal from 6-8:30pm. This rehearsal will be for everyone but will be broken into groups of 50 or less as per the Phase 4 guidelines.

Rehearsal Guidelines:
– All rehearsals will be conducted outdoors- All rehearsals are on a strictly voluntary basis- Students will not be penalized for non-participation- We will have equipment to take temperatures so that we can monitor student wellness- No parents/spectators allowed outside of cars. Must leave campus once kid has been dropped off.

Student Guidelines:
Students will enter the building through the auditorium entrance- Students are limited to 3 hours of participation each day- Students must maintain social distance by being six feet apart- Wear masks when social distance cannot be maintained- Stay in predetermined group of 50 or less (i.e. no switching groups)- Students must have own water bottle. The use of shared water coolers/fountains is prohibited.

 COVID-19 liability waiver – Marching 100
We will have copies available on Tuesday for those who need one.
Students will not be able to stay if they do not have a signed waiver.

Please also fill out this Google Form below prior to EACH rehearsal.

How we will monitor student wellness:
– We will implement diligent and effective cleaning/disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces following the guidance of the CDC and IDPH- AHS will maintain a daily record of what students are participating, when, symptoms they may present (Google form)- Students will be monitored at the start of rehearsal for temperature >100.4F or symptoms of COVID-19 (fevers, chills, cough, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell)- If symptoms are present, they will not participate in the rehearsal and will be referred to a physician for evaluation and testing
Feel free to bring your M100 Accessories Order Forms and payment on Tuesday. We will collect these but a notary will not be present for the medical forms. 

Please also let me know if you will not be attending rehearsals whether it be because of health concerns or otherwise. If you are not planning on participating  in the M100 please let me know.
